Sponsor Spotlight: Well Hung Framing

May 22, 2025

Kate Herbert – current Cokethorpe School parent – is the face behind Well Hung Framing. We sit down to learn more about her business and her connections to Cokethorpe.

Why do you support Cokethorpe and its inaugural arts fair?
I’m really excited to be part of Cokethorpe’s inaugural arts fair. As a picture framer a highlight of my job is collaborating with artists to help showcase their work. A good frame can bring a piece of art to life.  It’s fantastic to see so much creative talent in school.

Something that stands out to you about Cokethorpe?
It’s just chemistry! When you drive into the Cokethorpe grounds you feel a sense of something special – but it’s not just the beautiful grounds; it’s the teachers and staff, the pupils and of course the support staff that all pull together to create a wonderful community.

What are your hobbies?
People! I love chatting to people, there are so many interesting stories of why a client has brought of piece of work to be framed. Outside of work my hobbies, apart from chatting, and my love of food, interior design and the great fresh air is jumping in the car to go and explore a market town somewhere!

What is your favourite joke (keep it clean)?
What did the number zero say to the number eight? ……….. nice belt!

How have you seen business change? What innovations are you most excited about?
Since Covid I’ve noticed that people spend more time at home entertaining therefore are investing in their living space. Customers are getting items framed that ignite something whether it be from travels, achievements or perhaps deciding to invest in some art whether that’s an affordable print or a bit more of a luxury purchase.

The innovation I’m very excited about is the recent investment of a computerised mount cutter which is a game changer for scaling up business and taking on more complex projects!
